Damaged, Kidarah’s first single of 2023 starts the year with a bang. Raw and unfiltered, Kidarah talks about a toxic situationship filled with sex, betrayal, lies, and more all leading up to the iconically conversational line: “We’re so fuckin’ damaged.”

“I’ve never had an adult relationship. Not a real one, anyhow. Love just never seems to work out for me and I’m always on the losing end. This particular horror story’s villain is an expert manipulator. He couldn’t seem to help himself. Lying to every one he came into contact with, he treated people’s trust and emotions like a sick game… And boy, did he play with mine. It is hard to know what was even real from during that time period, but what I do know is that he never truly wanted me at all. For over a year, he used me to get in bed with my best friend. The same best friend who stole my cat and lied to me about her interest in him. The same best friend who made an instagram account for my sweet Monroe and is still exploiting my beautiful kitty. The same best friend who moved him into her apartment while I was out of town for the weekend.

The terrible things that happen to us will do one of two things: shape us or destroy us. I choose to find the positive in every negative. I’m grateful to have found the snakes slithering in my garden before any major career advancements. A year later and I’m still healing from all this trauma, but you can bet your life on the fact that I will always make sure to write a damn good song about it. Stream Damaged.”
